My apologies but I thought it was understood that we were comparing apples with apples. Countries that we have mentioned in this discussion were the US, UK, Switzerland and Australia....so developed western nations. The CNN video also added Germany and Japan to that list. Poorer undeveloped and non western nations are a completely different kettle of fish. Syria, I would imagine (for example) would have had more gun deaths this year than what the US has had in the last 10 years.
