That clip seems to show quite a bit of Tony standing in front of journalists and cameras, answering the same questions time and time again. I can't say I've seen Mal standing in front of a camera since Saturday. Perhaps he's been working on something more important, such as stopping the climate from changing? It was rather warm in Sydney earlier this week, so that may have prompted him to think about how he could stop that in future.
And let's not compare him to Jimmy Carter. That's very unfair on Jimmy.
