It has been an interesting day off the West Coast of Africa

Just outside port Luanda Angola the Ocean Rig Athena (ORA) has been at anchor all day and remains that way. Early this morning 4am local time the Bonnette Tide a crew boat arrived and stayed moored 20m off the ORA. During the day the Bonnette Tide moved from the east side of ORA to the west side and then back to the east side. At 2pm local time the Bonnette Tide sailed back to port and moored next to the Michael G McCall another crew boat.

Futher north at our leases it has be more interest: the Polarcus Adria has been mapping the shelf prospect over Siris and the BH to the north all day while the fishing trawler De Vorouw Marie has been fishing very close to the Polarcus and Vos Athos (Polarcus support ship). At times it looks as if the trawler has set the same coarse as Polarcus and at times been within 500m to Polarcus.

At 1:30 local time Polarcus changed coarse and travelled further west off the shelf , from a post last year that stated that the Cajun Express express was over FAN1 longitude -17.71004 latitude 13.91204 you can see from the track of the Polarcus it is now over Beer as Polarcus was at longitude -17.71 but I do not believe it has travelled far enough west to cover all of Beer. So what are they doing off the shelf?


If you go straight up 10km from FAN1 that is the most eastern track of Polarcus
