I remember there was a hotcopper member, who claimed to be an employee of MRM, quite optimistic about the whole business by saying works at MRM are still quite busy with a lot of activities. I guess sometimes not even employee knows the whole picture of MRM. Because the financial report shows significant decline in profit and write-down of assets.
I think the oil rebound, if there was one, would still benefit the lower-costing producers first, such as OPEC and US shale firms. At the moment, I got no idea of break-even points for operating LNG in Australia. Santos and Origin probably wondered why they spent so much capex at LNG in the first place, whereas woodside was quite wise to suspend some costly LNG projects.
