The case for exporting coal to India from Bacchus gets stronger each year IMO.
India through their INDC have now legislated that all coal needs to be washed to remove impurities prior to burning. ie- mandatory beneficiation.
Vic LV brown coal is best in world for low ash and impurities.

Coal washing = mandatory beneficiation
Coal washing will be made mandatory. This will require setting up large number of washeries. Therefore, the environment ministry is finalizing the terms of reference for setting up coal washeries. This will make getting environmental clearance for setting up washeries a less cumbersome process.
