Even if we are all taxed 30% I will still pay many times more tax in $ than low income earners? Why does the tax rate increase, the more you earn? To penalize those who work harder and smarter?

I reckon 20% GST and 20% income tax across the board. That way the Mussies who drive trucks for cash and are on disability pension would at least pay something. Even the dole bludgers would contribute.

tax everyone a minimum of 10% on personal income, whether they are students unemployed under employed or pensioners!
