Yes i do agree that you can trade stocks .BUT you have to take in the capital gains tax if you are day trading not through your super. you will end up paying around 38% tax on your gains if held for less than one year. You will also have to have large amount of cash or you can leverage which in these days is a big risk. You can do your money very quickly. This market is too volitile for the average person to trade with out sitting in front off the computer 8 to 10 hours a day. Not on i would like a life.
