The reality is simple, keep the illusion going that the US economy is on the up. My gut feeling is there will be a black swan outside of the USA, this in turn would take the blame of a global meltdown away from the Federal Reserve and Obama even though they have been the catalysts all along. The December rate rise is therefore a smokescreen and it wouldn't suprise me in November things will start to unfold.
QE4 is a definite next year.....
