Justis, its not flawed its who the voters voted for. They voted for a party knowing that the person leading the party would or would not be the PM.
If shorten got in then thats what we would have had to deal with - I laughed when rudd got rolled but I didnt agree with it.
You need to think back to when the referendum for the republic got rolled - part of the reasoning as to why it got rolled were turnbull did not detail fully to the public and also that turnbull wanted the parliament and not the people to vote for the President.
Its not the party its the people and the party should answer to the people not the MP's changing what the people voted for.
