My thoughts : Who referred what to ASIC? Was the referrer genuine or were they vexatious (eg. someone with a vested interest in SGH shares going down)? Has ASIC even ever said specifically what they are investigating? Does anyone even know what ASIC is investigating? I don't understand how an agency whose job includes ensuring that the market is promptly, continuously and accurately informed can itself offend so blatantly against its own charter.

Those who do wish SGH ill continue to make obscene profits at honest shareholders' expense, and ASIC have aided and abetted them. When all this is finally over, I hope that someone influential will set about banning short-selling and replacing ASIC with a genuine and effective organisation.
