leah- the homebrand tomato juice is in a can, not bottle. in other words , the juice is not 'pasteurised" like normal bottled equivalents.
the actual safeguard that the authorities place on products is totally obsolete if the item is actually canned, then cooked , resulting in the said item being 'naturally' pasteurised, as it negates oxidation which destroys enzymes.
that then means that any beneficial enzyme will be retained only in cans of tomato juice, as the process in bottled juice is 'open" to oxidisation.
in conclusion, at about $1.80 for a can of 850ml tomato juice in very concentrated form, you are not talking airy, fairy so called health benefits, but in essence, "life savers".

DYOR as i did and i finally realized-you can only take scepticism to a certain point until it comes back to bite you with huge vengeance.
