Hi JBaker, thanks for your post. It was a good read. I suppose if the price tag is proven to be a block for Atcor to sell their device, they will have to reduce the price. The manufacturing cost of the device must be way under 15k (considering the competitors are able to price their device at 1/5 of Atcor's).

As a shareholder I am happy if the company has to reduce prices to achieve sales, provided it makes a profit at the end.

I personally would invest in any healthy company who manufactures device that measures central aortic BP in USA  like Arcot does right now. Not just limited to Atcor. these devices are going to sell like hot cakes after the medicare announcement. most doctors love money like you and me (that's why we are here), whether it's Atcor's device that cost $15k or something else that cost $3k, as long as it's economical for the doctors they will sell. and the target market is huge according to google search -

Statistics and facts about U.S. physicians
    Overview Values
1 Total number of doctors of medicine in the U.S. 1,026,788
2 Total number of active doctors of medicine in the U.S. 826,001
3 Active doctors of medicine in patient care in the U.S. 784,633

even if every players in this sector sell their product at $3k, that is a potential up to $3bil market up for grab.
