Now that we have the results of the repeat experiments on the peptide-Omomyc, not unexpectedly positive given its prominent profile in the shareholder update, attention now turns to the other Q4 2015 highly anticipated news event.
All eyes are on, particularly given the flurry of investor interest on Friday, the release of Final Validation Studies for the MYC Hits report on Outcomes. As previously noted, the studies are not double blind, placebo controlled randomised clinical trials so management enjoys a great deal of transparency on results to date. It is interesting to note that the aim of the studies is to evaluate a panel of proprietary candidates that function with equivalent or greater potency than Omomyc.
The announcement of November 5, confirms that the bar has been set quite high.
The post by DS on the Grand Challenge for the largest award in the cancer field highlights the importance of targeting Myc. The Grand Challenge identifies the need for 'new thinking, innovation and a wide range of expertise' in order to find a way forward. Speaking of expertise its interesting to note the strategic process, identified by Phylogica and outlined in the Shareholder Update, of engaging in an externally facilitated process.
