    I'm sure you can answer your own question but anyway ....

    lower volume on the downturn means less selling pressure - high volume on the upswing is Accumulation (buying) and high volume on the down is distribution (selling )

    lower volume to the downside will help contain the bleeding - high volume to the downside is not ideal - I'm sure you know this
