Bit harsh I think. I have never heard the man speak before, but one of the things I loved was the passion in his voice for what he was saying. A number of times he halted what he was saying and "revised" what his next words were going to be. Overall, I got the impression of a very professional individual who was obviously the center of attention at the AGM. A man who had made the effort to return to Perth (he didn't really need to, generally an AGM is a bit of a tick the box deal) with an arduous flight, who spoke well, clearly and passionately. I never found what he was saying disjointed, he was interrupted occasionally by Gavin (always appropriately), but I thought he was fairly articulate. If that was him with jetlag then I am more than happy. All IMO of course.
One of the reasons I went to the AGM was to thank him for what he has done, unfortunately due to time constraints and others in front of me the best I got was a nod and a smile on the way out. But my sentiment remains the same, this is a man who has pushed himself (and his family) along a path that has enabled many a common person to invest successfully in an enterprise that has moved them up the financial ladder in a manner that does not occur often. For this I thank him and hope his effort results (in the near future) with him spending more time with his young kids and reaping the rewards of his labors. Nick seems a genuinely nice man and I hope the experience of building this company is something he treats as "work" and never allows to interfere with "life" (family) because this passes too quick.
