Agreed with you that Kinross is fully cashed up and can take over BDR at ease for AUD$300mil. The potential production and gold reserves at Tucano would make their Tasiast acquisition in 2010 for $US 6.6 billion looks very stupid indeed !
No doubt, Kinross needs diversification from African's gold mining... Perhaps South America is closer to home, and one of a only region with gold mining assets at a rock bottom price atm.
