Leaflets distributed in the West Bank Monday warned Palestinian prime minister-designate Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) against cracking down on Palestinian extremists.
The leaflets, issued by a coalition of Hamas, Fatah and Islamic Jihad representatives calling themselves the Nationalist and Islamic Movements, warn Abbas against "bowing to Zionist and American pressure."
They urge Abbas to be faithful to the Palestinian people.
"The government must be faithful and answerable to the people of Palestine, not to the criminal Zionist aggressors and their obsequious American allies," the leaflets say.
They go on to threaten that to topple the new cabinet if it deviates from what it calls the "national line."
