    FFS ! I'm sure he didn't mean every person on the planet literally . Even for those of us who sometimes drive for fun and enjoyment , there are times when I would happy for my car to drive me . Tired , over the limit , broken leg , whatever . What about on a tourist drive ? Can't look at the view and drive at the same time . It's even difficult to have a proper phone conversation and concentrate on driving properly .

    The facts are : Many , many companies are working on autonomous vehicles . It's happening right now . They're not developed far enough yet but they are making great strides .
    It would be fair to say that at some point in the future they will be available and they will capable of driving people around safely .
