I just read an article in a major Australian daily tooting about how fantastic an investment property was. I hoped to find some discussion of population growth and water supply, yet found nothing. I think the ¨no talk¨ policy of the Australian media on the impact of water supply and population growth on property values is very significant.
The most significant news affecting the property market is the USA´s recent decision to massively increase the skilled migrant intake. This has the potential to seriously reduce Australia´s skilled migrant intake, which is currently used to support high property values.
