Australian company opens first of five biodiesel plants
Australian Renewable Fuels (AR Fuels), a technology provider in Europe, announced the official opening of a biodiesel plant in Largs Bay, South Australia, that will produce nearly 11.8 MMgy, according to a company press release. Dermody Petroleum will be the plant’s biodiesel distributor, signing an agreement valued at up to $250 million based on spot prices at the end of March. AR Fuels plans to build five or six more biodiesel plants over the next few years, according to a company spokeswoman.
