Very proud of the Oz team .....
very bad decision by the ref in the final seconds ....
but .....
very bad decision by the ref 5 minutes into the 2nd half to reduce Italy to 10 players.
For mine, Australia only fired after they were 11/10.
For mine, Italy had dominance during all of the first half.
For mine, Italy defended brilliantly during the second half with the numbers against them.
For mine, Italy 'made' many more goal scoring opportunities in the first half, missing by striker error.
For mine, it's better that the match finished the way it did .... rather than a penalty shootout. If we'd lost from that Schwarzen/r would have copped flack - and would not have deserved it.
This way, nobody could blame Neil. It was the ref's fault.
Anyway, they had Paul Neuman as coach and Al Pacino as keeper, so what can you expect.
