I have read a couple articles (one by OECD and the other by financial analysts) strongly linking upcoming year being affected by EL Nino with less insurance claims (= more profit) as this time this major shift in weather patterns across the Pacific is expected to bring hotter and drier climate to Australia reducing risks of cyclonic events and flooding which normally drives claims and reduces profit. I think it's only a matter of time when this link is a wide-spread knowledge.
Any thoughts?
