Sadly i think you are wrong. They are only interested in the cash. They are also 19.7% owners of MPO, another oil 'cashbox' that is trading at a discount to NTA (ironically, MPO was MEL's JV partner for a while in the Northern Rivers PELs). Maybe they want MPO and MEL to merge to form a bigger cashbox. I doubt that are interested in any legal action
