Thanks mega and others for any updates from presentations. The hard questions about actual output, consistency? wear , fatigue on buoys, failure? Just how much of water produced has been from wave energy? These guys leave out critical info and fail to answer obvious questions IMO that they should have the answers to and be proud of their achievement- why aren't they?
People being deployed OS especially if whole families go - I hope the board has a clue in this regards as so often I see companies land huge costs for little real gain over what could be achieved from Australia using all available communication technology.
Tidal compensation will be a means of shortening the tether to ensure the buoy will be in the correct place in the water column for the most efficient operation and also to allow array to not take up a extra huge area . Could be done with a long hydraulic ram for example in between the tether and foundation or tether and buoy and could also act as a further compensator for pressure relief in storms etc to preserve tether life.
What the ????????? What are they splitting water molecules ha ha
The graphs they have used defy description as well or maybe I'm missing something
"Desalination increases the options to integrate higher levels of renewables by using water as a form of energy storage"
I am happy to have seen some admissions or corrections by CWE recently but there are still quite a few misconceptions out there.
With the density of concrete, possible storms I really wonder about statements regarding concrete blocks and foundations. I'll give you are hint - Concrete is not environmental, cheap, easy in remote areas not a very efficient anchor on large scale. It is not even technically easy at depth. If it was oil and gas would be using it as it is more efficient and they don't in general and it would have to be a last resort when no pile drilling equipment could be deployed and seriously with the scale of proposed arrays there are very few places where in current low oil environment where skills and equipment couldn''t be afforded IMO as heaps os sitting ïn care"waiting for next exploration cycle.
