I dont feel in any way threatened by open and frank discussion on HC and NPD is but one of many observations i interpret from the actions of some posters. Discussion is better than ignoring it imo. I'm not in the mental heath medical field however i have come across more of these characters than most would ever wish in a lifetime. If empathy means keeping silent on a public discussion forum then i believe your wrong because if they are smart enough to understand they may be displaying similar symptoms then is it not better they hear it from a stranger than wait till it too late because their relatives might only talk about them behind their back because they fearful of how he/she might react and these persons may never know that they need go seek some counselling.
