No wonder car sales are going through the roof in the USA when you can get a car loan for less than 2%. In fact I believe that once you have used up your education loan sell you existing car for cash and get a new one on credit and you should be able to continue living and consuming for another few months at least.

As I am of an age to remember paying a 21% mortgage rate in the UK and 19% in Australia I do find the current USA possible rate increase of 0.25% most amusing. This must be the most talked about interest rate rise in the history of banking! Talk about desperate, will Janet play the part of Scrooge in this years FED pantomime? Or will it be more bread and circuses for the proletariat or even QE with a catchier name for it this time around. Still I guess as Japan is now half way through their third decade the USA can pretend to have a working economy for a little while longer.

To think what a tail spin we would have if rates returned to something normal like 10%! The current housing bubble would fall like a lead Zeppelin!!!

I really didn’t think the Indian public would be in any rush to hand their long held Gold over to their government’s banks. 400 Grams what a laugh some people own shirts ten times heavier than that!!!
