Well it certainly is true that people are free to interpret The Bible since The Bible is merely a collection of stories that recount the views and observations of various significant people who lived, observed or were involved with in some way, the events of the time...

As such these stories can often provide guidance, inspiration and assistance during difficult times to many different types of people in many different and difficult situations...

The only part of The Bible that is claimed to be the word of God, is The 10 Commandments and I dont see anything in The 10 Commandments that I would disagree with, do you?

Most interestingly, there is no equivalent of The 10 Commandments in the koran as I understand and significantly the koran is claimed to be the word of their god as given to mohamed and so it not to be interpreted but taken literally...
After all, who is wise enough to dare to interpret the direct word of their god?
