"It is unacceptable that families who routinely need and use only four, six or eight hours of care are charged for 10 or 12 hours".

From policy analyst Trisha Jhi:

"The government have the right idea. Why should families who only need half a day worth of childcare be forced to pay for the whole day".

Those families who require minimum hours of care for their children use family day care or occasional care, they do not enrol in long day care.

It's about the early education of children not the needs of their families!

Very concerned by the lack of understanding of early childhood education displayed by those decision makers in Canberra.
