I suspect the TH was because the major announcement last year - when they proved the sensor worked leaked somewhere between UWA and PSY and there was a fair bit of grief.
They had to do it this time so the same thing didn't occur.

I feel for the investors in PSY. I no longer hold but I thought today was going to be big. I absolutely love this concept and want to buy in again In the future. I will wait for a commercial agreement and accept that I have to pay the premium.
