I considered including my children but decided against it. One reason was that once they get a serious partner, the partner has an interest in the partner's super. While in a simple fund (cash and equities) it is not too hard to disentangle it all, in a complex fund with loans and property, it could get messy. Further, I initially thought that a fund did not have to have all members as trustees but my recollection at the end of my research was that all members needed to be trustees. With low fee funds now available, I decided not to add my children to our fund.
