Muslims also believe (according to what they told me) that the bible had become to corrupted over time that God (Allah) had to sort it out by revealing the truth to Mohammed.

Whereu, I have had a similar experience of being told that the Scriptures have been corrupted by Muslims. What none have been able to explain is WHEN.
What these Muslims say they believe is contradicting the Koran. The Koran calls the Torah( Law) and the Injil (Gospel) “the Book of Enlightenment.” (Āl ‘Imrān [3]:184.
Plenty of other quotes can be found showing they were to be accepted. No corruption could possibly have occurred before the writing of the Koran because many verses in the Koran call for faith in the Torah and the Injil
Also, no corruption could possibly have occurred after the writing of the Koran, since a comparison of our modern-day Holy Scriptures with manuscripts of the Torah and the Injil written four or five centuries before the writing of the Koran shows that there have been no changes, or corruption. These manuscripts are available in public libraries and museums.
