Comparisons have been discussed to death on here . However i suggest you download the app when available to you , have a play . Then message the company with anything you are unsure of .
I will add a couple of things that i have found very nifty . One is that world phone looks for wifi connections intuitively . Another is my contacts on my phone are available immediately in world phone and when i call one of my contacts it shows on there phone that it is me calling . Try that using skype .
