MPI have a very big factory in China (and another in the Philippines). The big contract/s picked up last year (through a worldwide distributor), mostly relate to gaming machines. MPI were working on having their technology accepted for use in gaming machines in a number of key European countries, as well as Nth America, the big one.
Here's a bit of pure speculation for you, what if.......
China allows the widespread introduction of gaming machines....nah, they wouldn't do this, they're not gamblers anyway!
Well maybe they'll need some (or a lot) of MPI's special cold process sensitive ticketing for the upcoming Beijing Olympics!
Too outrageous? Maybe..
I think some of the older investors/traders of this stock also liked John Symington coming back to the helm (today). As the major stock holder, you could say he has a big interest.
