Not just that Acca. since REA upgraded their website. the new look isn't that attractive and being from IT background I find the layout is very poor from a company valued over $6 Billion. Also their app is keep crashing while browsing properties.
Not only my opinions but heard this from numbers of family friends who listed property through agents or friends looking for properties to buy or rent.
Why RNT could win over REA or domain in renting.
1. Has a good website and can improve in better way.
2. Targeting specifically only a rental market.
3. Listing for agents : Lot cheaper than REA or domain
4. Listing for Private Landlord (48%) - Real winner as opening up the door and listing is completely free of costs.
5. Not much overhead as doesn't take much to maintain and support such website once revenue start flowing.
6. Possibility to expand in NZ, SG and other asian market.
7. Possibility to expand in sales market.
8. Possibility to expand in other renting areas.
Cheers
