Absolutely this branding is blatantly misleading, but it emphasises the point that a2MC must start making more clear publicly that their milk is A-free, not just that it contains A2. And it must start saying openly that A1 is a genetic mutation that not only causes digestive problems for some consumers but is being linked by new scientific research with certain serious medical conditions.
This has always been the inevitable course of events. a2MC has tried to avoid antagonising mainstream dairy but its rivals have now forced the issue. The company has been just promoting the idea that "A2 is good for you" and the public is confused by this. That's not the correct message. The correct message is that A1 is bad, at least for some consumers, and that A2 is the natural original milk, same as what human mothers feed their babies from their breasts.
If a2MC comes out more openly on this, the media publicity will throw down the gauntlet to the mis-labellers and clarify the real A1/A2 issue.
