Hi Caketin , I have noticed that but I am not sure whether that isn't just part of the program , in that it still has an instruction - I think its accumulate but don't just bet one way , if it goes up does it have to refresh the mandate? I am not sure, I have seen this high frequency trading on a few illiquid stocks and it does have a strange trading pattern - I suspect that we can only see the mechanics on these lower traded stocks as the very liquid ones the trading would just get lost in the trades.
On another point: Regarding cash flow - I spoke to them in late 2014 - They said that there was a whole lot going on and it was difficult to put those into a few or one reason for the change in stock or operating cash flows. On the one hand they had identified some opportunities and had stocked up , however as they both manufacture and import from suppliers some of that mix gets put into the calculations and then added to that is the declining A$ which over time makes current stock cost more. What did impress me was the comment that technology and SAP HANA was making a good impact on the management of stock and other working capital issues. Haven't had the discussion again except in a question around having taken up so many rights issues that I was now tapped out and that @60c I would be worse off if they continued to have more CR's. The response was that they currently have enough breathing room in facilities plus they expected to be cash generative to cater for normal events ( including smaller acquisitions) as they saw it and had no plans for another CR at present.
Maybe that helps - I don't think that the import inflation will stop soon but I think the systems may well improve stock turn over time.
