saw this today and thought it was interesting..
They said it was worthless when oil was about 48bux, now its 37ish , thay are a bit nervous its clearly not worthless anymore...

DJ Should You Be Holding Aussie Energy Stocks? -- Market Talk
0115 GMT [Dow Jones] Given the slump in oil prices, do investors really need to
hold Australian energy stocks? For Credit Suisse's part, it says it would be
reticent to have no exposure while Brent is sitting around US$40/barrel. If oil goes up,
which the futures curve expects it to, then it's hard to see energy stocks not
heading higher, too, it says. The sector now sits at 11-year lows to the ASX,
underperforming by about 60% since mid-2009. Still, the brokerage admits to some unease
at its decision to take a bullish stance on Santos (STO.AU) in recent days, but says it
continues to nervously back the leverage Santos has to oil prices and hopes the new CEO
can fix at least some of the company's many issues. "A tough sector, but large
