I never was really comparing mining and solar farms. It is not the issue here.
Yes, the areas associated with solar farms are (already) VAST!
Just how many projects do you think have sprung up around the world? A couple? A few?
They aren't all installed on ex-golf courses and pre-used land either! (Even if they are, it doesn't mean it is the best way to rehabilitate the disused land.)
According to some, if you mention "solar", suddenly you can do no wrong. Because they are "environmentally friendly". (If you believe that, I believe I have some special "healthy cigarettes" to sell you!)
Get it through YOUR head. Environmental damage is being done by solar farms and wind farms (too, as well as by mining).
The serious issues and lessons of the past need serious consideration, not brushing aside by propagandists Greens cheering for the new gravy train.
