But North Carolina doesn't have a monopoly on stupid science. I recall a mine community meeting very near to you HH, where one local complained all the streams had started running in reverse direction, and the local copper added his opinion into the district water budget by suggesting that amphetamine labs could be taking reservoir sized amounts of it.

Then we have all the psuedo-science here running under the guise of scepticism, then the religious nutters to boot. Oh dear. Poor old science - why such a challenge to become main stream?
