US town rejects solar farm, page-50

Arsine, Phosphine, Silicon tetrachloride and Hydrogen Fluoride are a few of the more "interesting" chemicals involved in solar production. You may know the later if you ever worked in diamonds. Exposure and disposal is not anyone's friend.

Any of these are well on par with the worst used in mining.

Solar is meant to be the new, squeaky clean replacement energy source, according to the mega supporters. I am just suggesting that it is not quite all that. Especially when manufacturing safety and waste standards are lax in places like China. Less so if solar farms are installed without too much thought for the environment as well.
