The road shows / congresses and investor presentations in the US were designed to attract customers and investors. The fund got interested in and they gave it a go. That's why just 10m shares at a discount and options for more . Works always the same way, a new product gets introduced at a discount for a short period of time. For an insto buying shares is buying a financial product. They are taking a risk like we all did but get a huge discount because they buy directly and in bulk. If you buy 100 new cars from Holden directly you pay less than buying from a dealer but does that cause a price crash of all Holden ?
The new insto won't sell at 66.5c but that's what some here expect. Maybe they are smarter than the majority of Australian CR-instos and will buy more on-line if they are happy with their investment.
Today's " In favour " holders see the LT benefits, the " Against " holders expect from others what they will do - selling down to 66c for no rational reason.
If the Naysayers win at re-open then there will be the opportunity to buy at 66c for everyone. If the LTers win at the open $ 1.00 is the next goal.
Monday or Tuesday will tell.
