1. The media just love a good storm....and this was a beauty, they will bang on for hours as it means that they don't have to sniff around for other newsworthy (HA!) stuff.
2. The damage could have been so much worse, a few roofs here and there is a shirt load better than e.g. that monster that hit The Gap in Brisbane a few years back.
3. Whilst it does matter that Insurance companies have to stump up for damage...doesn't a weather event like that actually highlights the need to either get or maintain or increase the level of Insurance?
