SALLY SARA: Five years ago, the Howard Government set a target for the country to produce 350 million litres of biofuel by 2010. Despite the fact that this equates to less than 1 per cent of our current fuel usage, many doubted the target would ever be met. But high petrol prices and a sudden will to embrace ethanol and biodiesel means the biofuel industry is at last taking off.
