This is a super big mess and the type we can do without right now. The junior mining sector is struggling and then something like this happens and the sector gets tarnished again. Directors need to be prudent. Its not hard really. Get the assays and then make the announcement. Not make the announcement, hype the stock and then watch it crash and burn when there is no gold.
