Design and Environmental question

I was wondering if any Hotcoppers know about the design of the cooling tower, and what the temperature of the expelled hot air is?
I would imagine the taller the cooling tower, the cooler the air being expelled?
The diameter of the cooling tower would maybe depend on the area of canopy? or perhaps the volume of air flowing through the turbines?

And I wonder if the air coming out the top of the tower is significantly hotter than the surrounding air at that altitude, are there any environmental concerns about that?

Just some thoughts I've had about the tech but couldn't find anything specific that details these aspects of the tech.
