The deeper they go the more gas they'll find. At the moment they are not producing so why should the need to explore for more.
Flow test will tell you how big it is.
. Not retain the well for future re-entry means this is NOT a FAIL one. It's also supporting the idea not to deepen the well in the future.
When a well was failed the company will seek a re-entry based on secmics survey. They will re-drill to find out the truth.
