In the 35 years I've been trading/investing, there have always been troubles dead ahead and people wanting to wait until 'things' settle down until they invest.
'Things' have never settled down, there is always trouble somewhere that will stop people from investing. I have been guilty of that type of thinking at one stage myself. It took a long time for me to realise that when everyone is scared of something, that is the time to invest. The absolutely worst time to invest is when there looks to be no troubles ahead at all, because by then everyone is invested.
Basically, just don't let 'world troubles' get in the way of making a good investment. Don't be scared by other events that are probably not going to have any effect on your investment.
