There are many tests in the pipeline for ACTIVE TB but as far as I understand there are no other tests for LATENT TB currently available.
There was mention a few months back of a product to come out of the UK but it is still in early trials so even if it does get off the ground (and we all know how long the road is) then Cellestis certainly has first mover advantage.
The Quantiferon Mk2 test that was mentioned in yeterdays announcement is particulularly exciting as not only can it detect LATENT TB but will not generate a false positive from patients who have had the BCG vaccination - a very high incidence in Japan.
