Tony funny story about PVD

My broker was telling me too sell FAR and buy PVD, Far was at 10c and PVD was 45c. The story is only funny because not having looked at PVD since then I feel so much better about staying in FAR and not listening to my broker. Have been procrastinating for 18 month now about setting up an online broking account so I can dump my broker.

The question I asked the broker which he did not respond to was why go looking for oil (PVD) if we have found oil (FAR)

I agree that the POO is having an impact as at these prices the JV would be loosing money becsuse their break even point is $36-$37, also the fact that the SNE field has not been declared commercial yet is dragging on the SP

Yesterday I watch Tinkler talking about investing in coal and how he was going to make money and even raise funds. He seemed to only have two good points to talk about which were that he knew the coal markets very well and it was a counter cyclical investment. Which made me think that if his coal assets do well oil should be little bit safer.

So if you are still holding FAR shares like me, you have done the same thing and invested in assets that at the moment other will not touch, You can make money by following the market or doing the opposite, the risk you take is if you are counter cyclical , is that you don't hold on long enough to profit from your investment.
