i actually bought in today with a small amount-if i can make a few hundred bucks in one day-then so be it, times are tough.

even so, if you are a shorter , then you should wait till the FEB results.
the new CEO will not be announced until after this date as then he/she will be justified in making wholesale changes.
what you will find is the SP will probably go up to about $24 before the results announcement, but will probably tank close to at least $22, once the profit and same store sales at Woolies are disclosed.
when the new CEO, regardless of talent, is announced after this date, it is going to actually take results rather than rhetoric to get the sp back into positive motion.
so in other words- if you are long, cash in just before results and if you are into shorting-go for gold as lots to be made.
